Ioanna  Troulidou


     Ioanna Troullidou  jazz vocalist studied music at the University of Pécs in Hungary from where she attained an M.A. degree in music teaching and choir conducting and jazz singing/musical and performance at Bornemissza Maria singing school. Ioanna was the lead singer of the No more Blues Band in Hungary until 2007. That year she returned to Cyprus where she cooperated and cooperates still with the Cyprus Big band, Charis Ioannou, Savvas Houvartas, Gabriel Karapatakis, Rodos Panayiotou, Aggelos Aggelides, Terry, Irenaeos Koullouras, Giorgos Krasides, Giorgos Koulas, Ofer Ganor, Marios Toumbas, Michalis Messios, Ioannis Vafeas, Iakovos Parpas, Giorgos Morfitis, Andreas Panteli, Chris Byars, Ari Roland, Keith Balla, Zaid Nasser (U.S.A), Ahmed Elmas ,Tony Jones and others! She took lessons and followed seminars for Jazz singing from the well-known Jazz singers Marion Cowings and Yaala Ballin.

      She participated in several Jazz Festivals in Cyprus like the Aglanjazz Festival 2013, the Aphrodite hills jazz Festival 2013. On 2012 she recorded her first album with the title "Get out of town" - a collection of Jazz Standards in cooperation with musicians from New York and Cyprus and with the signature of composer /saxophonist and arranger Chris Byars. Since 2007 Ioanna has been teaching Jazz Performance at the European University Cyprus. She is the vocal teacher/ Jazz vocalist of the annual event, Cyprus Jazz Workshop, since 2015, conducted by the Jazz education abroad.
