Omiros Miltiadous






 Omiros Miltiadous is a Cypriot musician who was born in Limassol in 1991. He encountered music for the first time at the age of 16 where he enrolled in Limassol's music school as a classical percussion player but parallel he was having lessons with one of the most astonishing drummers of the island George Koulas where he was being taught Latin percussions. After he finished his military service he started his preparation for his studies in the Netherlands with another great drummer Stelios Xydias. In 2012 he was enrolled in The Royal Conservatory of The Hague where he still continues his studies on Jazz Drumming with the great Eric Ineke as a main teacher. He had lessons with drummers such as Adam Nusbaum, John Riley, Nasheet Waits and Eric Harland. Omiros is currently active playing in various bands and formations. In 2014 he participated in one of the most prestigious competitions in Holland called Princess Christina Concourse where with his quartet they won the best jazz young performance and best jazz composition.
