Rodrigo Caceres






Rodrigo Caceres is a Chilean bassist, well known in the latin - jazz, flamenco and world music scene, internationally. He performs & organizes seminars across Europe, Latin America and Asia, able to appeal a multitude of audiences ranging latin, jazz, flamenco, pop, afro, funk & reggae. During his long-term stay in Spain, he collaborates with Rubem Dantas, (percussionist of Paco de Lucia & Chick Corea) and shows up in big festivals:  Jazz Almuñecar, Espantapitas, Etnomusic,  etc. Significantly renowned in the Spanish music scene, he records 9 albums & plays with prestigious musicians such as Diego Guerrero, Chano Domingez, Tomas de Perrate, Dan Ben Lior, Puchero del Hortelano, Maui and shares stage with international band “Calle 13” at Sonderos Festival.  In Chile, he plays alongside the emblematic jazz trombonist Héctor Briceño Parquimetro. In Greece, he presents flamenco in Akropol Theater & Lakinthia Festival with Oscar de los Reyes, Eleni Giannopoulou & Christo Tzifaki. One year  ago, he moves to Cyprus showing up in Pattihio Theater next to the Italian pianist Joe Diverio and records for Andrea’s Georgiou album.  Currently he is touring with the band Macumba and working on his personal music album.
