Marios Takoushis






 Marios Takoushis is a London based film and television composer. He has recently finished writing the music for Channel 4's factual series "Inside The National Crime Agency" and has been assisting EMMY nominated composer Charlie Mole with additional arrangements for Universal Pictures "Dad’s Army" starring Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Toby Smith, as well as ITV's "Mr. Selfridge" starring Jeremy Piven. Scores for film include "Balik" directed by Dervis Zaim (Best Music Award at the 5th Malatya Film Festival), Mani Benchelah's feature documentary "This is Exile: Diaries of Child Refugees", BBC's "Margaret Thatcher: The Long Walk To Finchley" starring Andrea Riseborough and "A Boy Called Dad" directed by BAFTA and EMMY winner Brian Percival.In 2010 he composed the adrenaline fuelled score for EA's "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit" (PS3, XBOX 360, PC, iPhone) which was one of the year's most successful releases having won numerous awards including best multiplayer game at the BAFTAs. As a pianist, he is a founding member of the Takoushis Karapatakis Project and together with Gabriel Karapatakis recently released their third album "Colours of Another Sky". He is also featured on recordings as orchestrator and arranger and has performed with a wide range of ensembles in Berlin, Cologne, London, Paris, Sydney and Athens.
